They tell me I need to take my turn at blogging, so here I go
Tuesday
We had reservations for horseback riding in the redwoods for noon that day in Orick, CA so we headed out from Jedediah State Park nice and early, stopped at a small coffee shop for breakfast sandwiches, and made our way south towards Orick. We had planned to explore Prairie Creek Redwoods along the way but we got there a little later than we had intended so we only got to take a little walk around the information center. There were still a number of impressive trees to see and we got a number of good pictures.
We made it to the trail riding location about a half hour early, and they were a half hour late of course. It was all good though. We got on our horses; I had a beautiful red stallion named Kid. Not a particularly exciting ride, but the horses were well behaved and beautiful, the area was amazing, and the weather was exceptional.
So a pretty good midday activity.
I would add pictures here, but uploading the pictures takes forever.
